Overseas

The water was calm as the ferry skimmed across the surface. Clark watched the sun slowly rise above the trees. He had doubts about coming back to the island, but was glad he did. Clark missed it more than he wanted to admit.

Going overseas working in the front office of a soccer club wasn’t what be wanted to be doing. But Clark thought he would give it a go, and she how he felt about it. He made some nice friendships, but he missed home, and most of all, Grace.

It wasn’t easy having a long distance relationship. Grace had planned on moving to England with him until that News Anchor job fell in her lap.

The ferry pulled into the dock, and to Clark’s surprise, Grace was there to great him. Clark kissed her passionately, dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring.

“Yes,” she said, pulling him up for another kiss.
