JT stood in front of Krissy, put a cigarette between his lips and lit it. She always hated it when he smoked. He quite cold turkey right after they started dating.

Ten years, two month and three days. But JT took pleasure of watching her get more pissed with every drag. He’d purposely blow smoke rings at her face.

He caught her when she lied about being out of town on business, and she knew it. Over their anniversary weekend too.

JT got the last laugh when Krissy’s high school girlfriend picked him up.

He smiled at Krissy, and said, “You had your fun. Now it’s my turn,” and walked out the door.
