Moment in the sun

I see these videos and read about kids with physical disabilities coming in to a high school football game for one play, and scoring a touchdown.  While I applaud the effort, I can’t help wondering what the team being scored upon thinks about just going through the motions to let the player score.

I wanted, in high school, to play football so bad that could taste it.  But because of my heart problem, not my Cerebral Palsy, I couldn’t play.  However, if I would have gotten the chance to play, I wouldn’t have wanted the other team to take it easy, or just go through the motions, to let me have a moment in the sun.
