Lookout

Summer quickly turned to Autumn bringing with it cooler temperatures, falling leaves and football.  It had brought a change in my new wife also.

When I met Cassie, she was everything I was looking for.  We had fun together, just staying up all hours and talking. But after we married she became unfriendly, and snapping at everyone.

I came home from work, one day, and found her on the bed.  She rolled over to face me.  It was clear she’d been crying.

“Take me to the lookout,” she said, and grabbed my hand.

The lookout was a hill high above the river overlooking the city.  Before I could get out of the car, Cassie had ran and jumped off the cliff.
