Exceed

I wonder what he would say if he saw me now?  He’s a doctor, I know exactly what he’d say.  He’d tell me to lose weight; that being this heavy isn’t good for my health.  And he’d be right.

But I also think he’d look at me, almost unbelieving, how long I have lived.  That him, and a team of doctors, preformed a heart operation called the Mustard Procedure on a three year old child.  How I exceeded my life expectancy by more than double at forty-seven.

  1. Doctors know about fixing physical problems, but usually don’t take into consideration the power of the mind and of people’s drive to surpass their difficulties. Keep shining 🙂
