Everything was perfect. The trees were blowing in the gentle sea breeze as the sun was sinking into the Pacific. It was just like I remembered it. Could it be twenty-five years already? Seems like yesterday we stood barefoot in the sand saying “I do.” It’s different this time, though. We don’t have to hide our love. Society accepted Amber and I, now, as a couple.
The place looked the same. It was like it waited for us to come back. The sun shone as bright as it did back then, it just seemed brighter. And the water was as blue as ever. Two hundred watched as I slid that ring on Amber’s finger. She was able to show it off, this time, and not have to take it off.
