Through the years.

Her heart pounded when she realized she loved him. How could she not see it? J.T. was perfect for Liz, no matter how much she denied it. But was it too late? She was about to lose him to her. Carly. What the hell did he see in her anyway? It must be a rule; if you have blond hair and big boobs, you have an IQ of a ten year old.
Liz took some pleasure in rejecting his advances over the years. Now that he had eyes for Carly, she wanted to gouge her eyes out. She’s trying to figure out where that feeling came from. What did Carly do, shake her boobs in his face? Liz wasn’t about to lose J.T. to Miss Wonder-boob.
The next morning Liz waited for J.T. to leave his house to talk to him. But when Carly walked out the door, Liz’s heart sank. She wanted to move, but leaned her head on the steering wheel and cried. A knock on the window alerted her to where she was. She looked to see J.T. looking in.
Winding down the window, and wiping her eyes with her arm, Liz said, “Hi.”
J.T smiled at her, “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to talk to you,” she sighed. “But I can see you’re with her.”
He shook his head, “No. It’s not what it looks like.”
“What d’ya mean?”
“I told her,” he rubbed her cheek. “She knows how I feel about you, and that nothing was going to happen.”
“Why’d she come out of your house?”
“She came over this morning to tell me, again, how pissed she was at me.” He leaned in, and kissed her forehead, “And she tried to throw herself at me. I stopped her, told her to get the hell out.”
Liz smiled, and looked at him through watery eyes. She wanted to say how sorry she was for making him wait, and rejecting him through the years.
“I know,” he whispered in her ear, then he kissed her.
