He didn’t believe in love at first sight, and was having a hard time believing love would find him again. Sitting at the same stole night after night waiting for something to happen that never did was getting old quick. He looked up when the bell rang for last call. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a vision of loveliness. Ordering a last beer for himself and a drink for her, he moved over three stoles to the one next to her. He had to find out who she was, and why he had not seen her before.
“Hi,” she said, presenting her hand to shake.
He took her hand and said, “What are you doing for the rest of your life?”
