Revenge

Of all the people to show up tonight, I’d never thought he’d be one of them.  The memories came flooding back when my eyes caught his look.  When he went to jail I thought it was for life.  Surprised he didn’t get killed in prison.  After what he did to my sister and me, a part of me was hoping he did.  Why did he show up tonight of all nights?  What does he want, forgiveness?  Too late for that.  Here’s my chance to get even, to get some revenge.  No one would blame me.  If I’m careful, no one has to know.  Say your prayers dad, time to meet your maker.
